This site is about quickly finding a smoking area on an airport. As frequent traveler I visit quite some airports and started to collect data on smoking areas as they are difficult to find on internet.
This site started April of 2011 with 30 airports collected by my colleague on his frequent travels. Today there are circa 425 airports checked for smoking areas. The data is kept up to date by recent visits and contributions by friends, fellow travelers and visitors like yourself.

A quick search for  specific airport smoking area details can be performed by the 'quick search' menu on the right side of this web page. For advanged searches the 'search airport smoking areas' menu can be used. If you like to have more search options try our free registration to enter the exclusive menus. News: Plane forced to land by smoking family

This Canadian family was fined for smoking on a vacation flight headed to Dominican Republic.
3 passengers of of the family of four refused to say to Cabin personal where they had stashed their spent cigarette butts. Because of allegedly fire hazard posed by potentially smoldering cigarette butts, stashed somewhere on the plane, the flight was re-routed to Wade Airport in Bermuda, where the airplane made an unscheduled landing. Due to this lading and delay the plane's crew had exceeded their allowable duty time, therefore forcing an overnight layover for crew and 200 passengers. The family was fined for smoking on plane. The family is waiting charges by local court.

You can select the 3 letter IATA code of the airport, which is displayed on your boarding card or you can select the name of the main city near to the location of the airport. For a more advanced search such as collection of airports by country you can go to the smoking area search page.
  
The data base is filled with the major airports but we could have missed some. So if you think of an airport which should be on the list please report at the contact page and in the next update the airport will be incorporated.
